- Work through some practical ideas from Foundation Stage through to upper Key Stage two

- Have the opportunity to collaboratively plan a mantle frame to take back to use in their own setting.
Cost: £150 per delegate (including lunch and refreshments)
This is a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in a two-day event with leading facilitator Luke Abbott. After working closely with Mantle of the Expert’s visionary inventor Dorothy Heathcote for many years, Luke has supported hundreds of schools all over the UK and abroad. He is recognised internationally as a leading practitioner and advocate of the Mantle of the Expert system.
Mantle of the Expert is based on the premise that when children imagine themselves and invent, with a teacher AS a responsible team of experts, this not only increases their engagement BUT ALSO confidence. It provides a rich platform to raise standards overall, particularly in talk for learning, creativity, teamwork, communication skills, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making. Because of the ‘client’ function built into the method, outcomes of these activities will see children writing for a real purpose and has a significant impact on learning outcomes, especially writing standards.
