Sign the End SATs Petition
Dear Colleages
This is a message from the NUT inviting teachers, parents and other concerned people to sign a petition calling for an end to SATs. Please follow the link below to add your name and pass the petition on to anyone else you think might want to sign. Thank you.
Over 15,000 people have added their signature to either the paper or electronic petition to end SATs at Key Stage 2 but we would like to dramatically add to that total before the interim deadline of 31 October 2009. The NUT and the NAHT have been collecting as many signatures as possible and have invited parents, governors, local and national politicians as well as colleagues in nursery, primary and secondary schools to sign. We will be publicising the number of signatures received in November 2009.
Many thanks if you have already signed but, if not, please sign the petition here
In order that we can really illustrate the strength of feeling against SATs I would be very grateful if you could please forward this email to any friends, family and colleagues who may also be happy to support the campaign. They can find out more about our campaign here
Thanks again for your support
Best wishes
Christine Blower, General Secretary
