Conference-Drama and English: Exploring the Connections

There has been a long history of teachers using drama to support learning in English. Considering recent moves threatening the place of drama in and across the curriculum, we think it important to affirm the centrality of drama to English teaching. This conference will offer practical approaches for teaching that explore and develop the connections between English and drama.

A team of science educators has set out to change the teaching of science throughout Palestine in order to enable students to take part in a world-class science programme.This project requires teachers to challenge the current orthodoxy of instruction styles of pedagogy and adopt new practices requiring an emphasis on learning rather than teaching through instruction. To date the results of experiments in Jericho with over 50 teachers have been very encouraging. Read more…
